The 11th seed VCU has been running teams over in the tournament ever since skeptics have been questioning their invitation to the tournament. Things were no different against Big Ten's Purdue as they crushed them 94-76.
Virginia Commonwealth was led by Bradford Burgess as he put up 23 points and eight rebounds and a block shot. The depth of the Rams was too much for the Boilermakers to handle as they were in control throughout the whole game.
Joey Rodriguez help out the Rams as well putting up 12 points along with 11 assists and most importantly no turnovers. The Rams shot about 57 percent from the field which was enough offense to hold off Big Ten Player of the Year in JaJuan Johnson.
Johnson still had a nice outing in his final collegiate game putting up 25 points and 14 rebounds. Up next for the VCU Rams is the 10th seed Florida State Seminoles. Both teams upsetting their other opponents, so which one of these low seeds will be in the elite eight? Tune in Friday night at 10:00 pm on TBS to find out who advances.
