The Knicks put up 51 points in the first half. Only to be followed by a embarrassing 35 point second half which was why they lost 96-86 against the Celtics last night. New York seemed to be in control until the 4th quarter started where the team just went cold.
Carmelo Anthony was seven of ten from the field at one point, but ended up missing his last seven shots. Melo finished with 22 points and five rebounds. Ronnie Turiaf gave the Knicks a boost as he started the game, but the team as a whole just could not close out the game when it mattered most.
Kevin Garnett led the Celtics with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Paul Pierce also had a nice outing putting up 21 points and six rebounds. This is the third time the Celtics have beaten the Knicks this year and chances are they will probably win the last match up considering it is at Boston.
The Knicks continue to struggle post Carmelo trade as they are 7-9 since the trade. It looks like the Knicks will be limping into the playoffs and I do not seem them doing much damage unless they learn how to play in the fourth quarter.
